1. Phuket

Phuket is a tropical island just off the west coast of Thailand. The island is known for it’s stunning white sandy beaches and clear turquoise sea and often has an idyllic island reputation. 2. Koh Samui

Koh Samui is Thailand’s third largest island and another very popular holiday island. The island is located on the East side of Thailand and is more developed than it’s neighbour Koh Phangan. As well as a number of fabulous beaches the island offers a host of hotels suiting all budgets from the most luxurious to backpacker friendly. It also has many nightclubs and bars so it’s a good place to go if you like to party.

3. Koh Phangan

Koh Phangan is the smaller neighbour of Koh Samui and has a much more ‘rustic’ feel with many accommodation on the island being small beach bungalows. The island is most famous for it’s Full Moon Parties which attract many people who like to party on the beach mostly until the small hours.

4. Koh Tao

Koh Tao is a smaller and much more remote island also located on the East side but it also manages to attract visitors. In fact the main economy is tourism with people mostly coming to scuba dive or snorkel here. The island is also an important place for breeding turtles.

5. Koh Phi Phi

This idyllic island was made famous by the bid budget movie “The Beach” and it also got ravaged in the Tsunami of 2004. The island is located on the West Side of Thailand and is part of the Krabi province. It has stunning white sand beaches and beautifully clear waters giving it a paradise like reputation.
